Family Poem (Metaphorical)

My family is a circus:
Dad is the ring leader, in charge and leads us.
Mom is the gorilla, loud, but looks huggable.
Skyler is the elephant, big but very gentle.
Sadie is the bear, a beast that hibernates.
Bridger is the lion, mean and grouchy.
Mallerie is the seal, a showoff and sassy.
River is the tiger, if he doesn't get what he wants,
he gets very dangerous..
My dog Roxy is the baby bear, nice and fluffy.
My dog Motley is the monkey, climbs up by your face.
And I am the giraffe, I reach for high standards. :D

"Undo it" - Carrie Underwood

Lyrics:
I should have known by the way you passed me by
There was something in your eyes and it wasn't right
I should have walked but I never had the chance
Everything got out of hand and I let it slide

Now I only have myself to blame for falling for your stupid games

I wish my life could be the way it was before I saw your face

You stole my happy, you made me cry

Took the lonely and took me for a ride
And I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it
You had my heart, now I want it back
I'm starting to see everything you lack
Boy, you blew it, you put me through it
I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it

Na, na, na, na, na

Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na

Now your photos don't have a picture frame

And I never say your name and I never will
And all your things, well I threw them in the trash
And I'm not even sad

Now you only have yourself to blame for playing all those stupid games

You're always gonna be the same and, oh no, you'll never change

You stole my happy, you made me cry

Took the lonely and took me for a ride
And I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it
You had my heart, now I want it back
I'm starting to see everything you lack
Boy, you blew it, you put me through it
I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it

Na, na, na, na, na

Na, na, na, na, na
Na, na, na, na, na, na

You want my future, you can't have it

I'm still trying to erase you from my past
I need you gone so fast

You stole my happy, you made me cry

Took the lonely and took me for a ride
And I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it
You had my heart, now I want it back
I'm starting to see everything you lack
Boy, you blew it, you put me through it
I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it

You stole my happy, you made me cry

Took the lonely and took me for a ride
Boy, you blew it, you put me through it
I wanna uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-undo it

General Idea/Story Inferences:
I think this song is about a girl who see's this guy, and the moment she see's him, she knows he's trouble, but they get together anyways and problems just occur.  After they have been together for a while, she starts to figure out who he really is and how he acts.  She doesn't like what he starts to become, and then wishes she could undo everything that ever happened.  She wishes she never saw him in the first place.

Quote Inferences:
1. "There was something in your eyes and it wasn't right" - From the very first time she ever saw him, she could tell something was different, like he wasn't a guy you would want to mess around with.  She knew it wasn't really something good, but she went for him anyway.

2. "Everything got out of hand and I let it slide" - There were a lot of problems and arguments about things, but she never really felt like it was something she needed to deal with.  It started to get worse, and she still did nothing.

3. "I wish my life could be the way it was before I saw your face" - She just wishes that she had never even seen his face in the first place, because she could have had a better life without him.  Now she's living life with regret, and doesn't want him there anymore.

4. "Took the lonely and took me for a ride" - She was hanging out all by herself, and he decided that he might as well just pick her up and take her for a ride. She ended up having the time of her life, while he really didn't even care.

5. "Now your photos don't have a picture frame" - The pictures that she has of him and her, don't have frames around them anymore. Because he's not really a big part of her life anymore. He's not important to her.

It Is My Name

They called the wind Marriah. I grew up having people ask me what my name was, and when I would tell them, Marriah, they would start singing the song, "They call the wind Marriah".
On March first, 1995, I was brought into this world and given the name Marriah Brezlynn Brooksby. My name is important to me, because it's one of a kind, and not like anyone elses. When people hear my name, I want them to think of me as someone who is respectful of others, a good friend, trustworthy, honest, and just overall a fun person to be around.
I had a really scary thing happen to me a year ago. I went in for surgery and what was supposed to be five days in the hospital, turned out to be thirty days. The experiences I had in there, made me who I am today. I wasn't able to talk for a month, walk for a month, and I also died and came back to life. I'm so grateful for the breath of life. Many people came to see me, including my sister, who sang to me while my family and friends were right there. So many people were there to help me at that time, and I want to be known as the type of person that can give service to others, like they did for me. I hope when people hear Marriah Brezlynn Brooksby, they will think of me as that type of person now, and will throughout my lifetime.

The Crucible Cast List

Abigail "Abby" Williams: Rachael McAdams

I chose Rachel McAdams for Abby Williams because in the play "The Crucible", Abby is a young and beautiful woman who acts like a nice person, but she is really a liar and accuses people of things they didn't do.  Rachel McAdams, I think, would be the perfect person to play the role of Abby.  She is an amazing actress, she's gorgeous, and she's actually my favorite actress. Also, she has been in many movies while she was a good and a mean character.

John Proctor: Tom Cruise

I chose Tom Cruise for John Proctor because he is pretty young looking like so in the the play.  He is also a very great actor and can play pretty much any part in a movie.  I think he would be a great role for John Proctor.  He's one of my favorite actors and it would most likely be a great movie with him in it.

Goody Elizabeth Proctor: Cameron Diaz

I chose Cameron Diaz for Elizabeth Proctor because, she is way gorgeous and an amazing actress also.  She has actually starred in a movie with Tom Cruise, and so they are great together.  She can play almost all roles of any character because she is such a good actress.  I think she would be the perfect part for Elizabeth Proctor.

Mary Warren: Anne Hathaway

I chose Anne Hathaway for Mary Warren because, I think she would be the best part for her.  She is a very talented actress, she has been in many movies with many different roles, and she is way pretty.  She kind of has a shy look about her, and she would be a good house keeper role.

Reverend Samuel Parris: Robbin Williams

I chose Robbin Williams for Reverend Samuel Parris because, he is kind of an older man, and he is an amazing actor.  When it's time to be serious, he can be serious, and he can also have fun.  He has starred as a church leader in one of his movies, and so he would be perfect for the part.

Reverend John Hale: Owen Wilson

I chose Owen Wilson for Reverend John Hale because he is a young, funny man.  He is great at acting and can make pretty much anything fun.  Owen would be a good role for this part in my opinion.  He can act any part you give him.

Tituba: Whoopi Goldberg

I chose Whoopi Goldberg for Tituba because she would honestly be the greatest part for her.  Her acting is amazing, and she is also older and African American like Tituba is.  She could play the part perfectly.  I would definately choose her.

Thomas Putnam: George Clooney

I chose George Clooney for Thomas Putnam because, he is kind of an older man.  But he is a really great actor. I have seen many of the movies he has been in, and most of the ones I have seen were pretty amazing.  To me, he would be a really great part for Thomas Putnam.

Goody Ann Putnam: Julia Roberts

I chose Julia Roberts for Goody Ann Putnam because she is a little older, but not too old.  She looks young and she is pretty.  She is very good at what she does, and could probably act out anything. I've seen a lot of her movies and have been very impressed.  She's a perfect part.

Goody Rebecca Nurse: Sigourney Weaver

I chose Sigourney Weaver for Goody Rebecca Nurse because she would be great at this part.  She is very kind, and cares about others, and stands up for what she believes. So I think Sigourney would be a great actress for this part.  She is very talented.

Honesty Is Sometimes The Best Policy

Is honesty always the best policy? When asked who chopped down the cherry tree, the father of our country- George Washington- cried back, "I cannot tell a lie."  "I chopped down the cherry tree with my little axe."  We have usually been taught that honesty is the best policy.  Is it really though?  I have chosen that honesty is sometimes the best policy because, you might not want to be honest if you have to tell someone something mean, or you could get hated by people by being too honest, and you probably wouldn't give your information to people you don't know.
Lets say that your best friend has a severe case of body odor and can't understand why no one wants to sit next to her.  You wouldn't want to just come right out and say yes, it's because you stink.  That could hurt someones feelings!  If she asked you why, you could say something like, "Well if that's what the case is, then I could lend you some of this wonderful body spray that I use!"  Or even if someone asked you if the shirt they were wearing was ugly.  You could say something like, "Its not something that would look good on me, but it looks great on you!"  There is always a better way to say things.
Sometimes, being too honest could get you into trouble or disliked by people.  For instance, if you witnessed a murder or something and the guys told you not to tell, but you did anyways, you could get killed or hurt.  For example, the Elizabeth Smart story, the people who kidnapped her told her that if she ever gave anyone signs or told someone, then they would kill her and her family.  Even if you tell someone you don't like the way they act, or what clothes they wear, they are probably not really going to like you.
While on Facebook, you were asked your phone number.  You would say something like, "I don't have a phone."  Or someone came to your door or called you and asked to speak to your mom, but she's not home.  Saying "she's in the shower, can I take a message?" would be a good thing to say.  Also, if you were walking along the street, and a random old guy in a car asked where you live and if you need a ride, you could say you live right around the corner or your mom is right there.
So see, honesty is not always the best policy.  A lot of people think that it is.  There are many situations that you might not think of, that are situations where you should not tell the truth.  I have given many examples of when not to tell the complete truth.  Be aware of these things. They could happen to you or your siblings at any time.
